MINOR PUPPY DOG (1)
1st Brookers’ Jopium Just For You Corisan
8-month sable with such a super outgoing temperament who is a lovely size. He has a kind eye, good ears and showed himself well. Moved with good drive from the rear and he has a good length of upper arm. Tail carriage detracts at the moment, but time might improve this when he learns the job in hand. Well presented.
PUPPY DOG (1)
1st and Best Puppy Dog – Thornes’ Chelborn Look At Me
Blue merle looking more of the finished package than the Minor Puppy winner. I would prefer a clearer blue colour. I appreciated his overall balance; he has a good depth of chest, a good upper arm and bone, and a kind eye and expression. Moved easily on the uneven surface but had to give way to his lovely sister for Best Puppy.
JUNIOR DOG (2, 1 absent)
1st Congdons’ Aaronwell Asks The Question
Charismatic sable boy who, at 14 months old, still has a way to go, but he is quality through and through. He has such a lovely eye set, good ears and a super neck, leading to the correct topline and finishing off with a lovely long tail. Still carrying a good coat, which was excellently presented. Moved easily and, in the challenge, he just looked even better, using his neck so well that I couldn’t resist and was very pleased to award him the RDCC. I gave his dam Best Puppy when I last judged, and he will surely join her in the upper house with a bit of maturity under his belt.

GRADUATE DOG (2, 1 absent)
1st Penachios’ Malouines Never Ending Story
Four-year-old sable who looked to be in heavy coat; however, a lot of it was dead coat that needed getting out. His ears were wider set and broke a bit low down. Tail carriage wasn’t good and movement lacked purpose.
POST GRADUATE DOG (1)
1st Randall’s Ladnar Call My Name JW
Coming up to two years old. Lovely coloured blue merle; he has a good, balanced length of head, flat skull and his eye set is good. He has the correct topline and an accurate rear drive, but tail carriage detracted. Needs some more time to come to his best, I’m sure.
LIMIT DOG (4)
The first two were completely different.
1st Mitchell’s Avonfair Aloysius JW
One of the few here today that I had judged before as a puppy. A quality boy who was in excellent condition and full coat, presented so well. I liked his masculine size. Such a kind expression, which helped his position today, along with his overall masculine outlook. He moved with drive.
2nd Blake’s Corydon The Baronet JW
Smaller-framed tri who was not the masculine picture of the winner. His coat wasn’t as black as it could’ve been and I found his expression harsh due to his smaller eye. He has super bone. He too moved with drive.
3rd Spendelows’ U Spring Undeniable
OPEN DOG (6, 1 absent)
Close decisions between the first three, all champions well deserving of their crowns. Thank you for bringing them. All were well presented.
1st and DCC – Hawkins and Foys’ Ch Beldones Ivory Star
Majestic-looking sable who can give his handler a hard time, depending on his mood! He scored heavily here on length of back and a slightly better eye which, with his ear set, gave him a super expression. He has such drive on the move that helped him win today.
2nd Cronks’ Ch Chelborn Gambling List
Smaller type tri who was also very sound. His head was shorter than the winner’s but balanced for his size, with the correct topline. Scored over the third, who was very similar in outlook, on slightly better eye and ears.
3rd Hodges’ Ch Jopium Love On The Rocks
VETERAN DOG (5, 1 absent)
1st Watts’ Culbrae Red Again
Nine-year-old upstanding golden sable who was built on lovely clean lines. He has a good length of neck, flat skull, kind soft expression, correct topline and was an easy winner. He was very well presented but couldn’t match the bitch when it came to BV; nonetheless, a lovely lad.
2nd Jones’ Brooklynson Black Diamond With Dancol
Upstanding eight-year-old in good condition who was excellently presented. Slightly longer in foreface and heavier ears meant he lacked the expression of the winner. An easy mover.
3rd Stevens’ Cariadhaf Crazy Dream
